Hi, I’m Martin Noh — an international concert violinist and educator.
My journey has taken me from solo performances with orchestra to chamber music on stages like Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. Along the way, I’ve been a prizewinner at the Coltman and Frances Walton Competitions, featured on NPR Live Sessions and King FM, and performed at festivals including Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and the McGill International String Quartet Academy.
I’m also a violinist and original member of the Kodak Quartet, winners of top chamber music prizes and artists-in-residence at institutions like The New School and Montclair State University. Performing and teaching with the quartet has given me the chance to collaborate with leading musicians worldwide and connect deeply with students of all levels.
Just as much as performing, I’m passionate about teaching. I’ve served on faculty at Interlochen Center for the Arts and have guided students from their very first lessons to competition-ready performances.
My philosophy is simple: every violinist’s journey is unique. By combining personalized instruction with my own experience as both a soloist and chamber musician, I help students overcome challenges, build confidence, and discover the joy of playing with freedom and expression.
I can’t wait to help you take the next step in your journey - toward freedom, confidence, and joy in your playing.
